Ride Preview:  Prepare yourself for a ride full of granite peaks, picturesque lakes, scenic highways and unique happenings at each town. Start your ride from historic Deadwood south on Highway 385 through long, narrow stretches of pine-covered asphalt.  Stop for a burger and a milkshake as if you were back in the ’50s at the Boondocks.  Continue south on Highway 385 for fun at every stop: Hill City for fine art, Custer for woodcarving and watering holes, Hot Springs for mammoths and mineral baths and, last but not least, Keystone, the gateway to Mt. Rushmore. If you want to be not only a biker, but also a tourist in the Black Hills, this ride is the ride for you.  For every stop listed on this ride there are countless other unique views, attractions and happenings along this route. From gunfights, to waffle cones, to mammoth bones, you never know what you’ll see on this ultimate tourist experience!        

Directions: (Round Trip from Deadwood to Rapid City) From historic Deadwood travel south on Highway 385, 52 miles through Hill City and Crazy Horse Memorial to Custer.   Continue your ride south on Highway 385 to Minnetankha Junction and east on Highway 18 to Hot Springs.  From Hot Springs head due north on 385 through Wind Cave and Custer State parks, heading east on 16A to Iron Mountain Road.   Continue on Highway 16A for 39 miles through Keystone and Rockerville on your way to your final destination of the ride, Rapid City.
